No matter how many hydration packs get invented, some cyclists still prefer the old-fashioned bottle cage.
That’s why French company Zefal has introduced yet another bottle cage. But this one aims to accommodate any bottle you can throw at it — by which we mean carefully place within its flexible arms.
Zefal, known for its bike accessories, designed the Z Adventure Cage to work with “all types” of cylindrical containers. That includes run-of-the-mill water bottles to insulated water bottles, and even large-diameter rigid bottles — if your bike frame allows it.
Between the sturdy support structure and wide strap, “your bottle will be preserved, even on the most uneven terrain,” the company said.
Zefal Z Adventure Cage: Design Details
The latest bottle cage from Zefal aims for long-distance use, be it bikepacking or simply a long holiday on your favorite ride.
With four fixing holes, the cage offers universal mounting on either a frame or fork. It’s compatible with bottles from Ø66 to 92 mm. Using the hook and loop strap, riders can cinch down for extra water bottle security.
The cage measures 230 x 81 x 94 mm and weighs a tidy 88 grams. And yes, it comes with the necessary screws for assembly.
