Catlike was showing off their line of helmets and sunglasses at DealerCamp in Park City, UT, this summer. The picture above shows their Whisper Plus helmet – the only helmet that’s being sold in the US at the moment, the rest will be available in the next two months. It’s the top of the line helmet with their trademark Dual Flow swiss-cheese hole pattern for maximum cooling effect. Click ‘more’ to see the rest of their line, prices, and the other unique features they offer – including sunglasses actually designed to fit perfectly in conjunction with the helmet!

This is their Kompact’o helmet, which is their basic helmet retailing for $145. Inside the front holes is their “anti-insect net” to keep the bug guts out of your hair. All helmets come with detachable visors and have LNP – their “low nape protection” – which has the helmet sitting slightly lower around the back sides of your head for more protection.

Hands down, the ugliest helmet ever made.
Can’t say much about their sunglasses either, pretty cheap looking.

who will be distributing these then? bti? qbp?

i for one, think that these are way nicer looking lids than, say, specialized.

I find them intriguing but not ugly. IMO the ugliest lids come from Orbea and LAS.

They could look like a mass of cat puke on top of my head for all I care, as long as they’re cool and ventilated.

their helmets are tiny and the venting is sub-par.

@Maple Leafs,
I agree, the UGLIEST. I would not pay that much $ to put on my head, I would not put on my head for FREE!

Catlike helmets were available in the US about 6 or 7 years ago and then they abruptly disappeared. The Kompact was the top of the line helmet back then. I think they were forced out of the US market because they didn’t meet US crash safety standards. Even Giro has had to make two different versions of certain helmets in order to me EU and US safety standards. Either way, if you’ve ever ridden with one of these helmets, you know it is a decent helmet, but not on par with Giro or Specialized.

Lazer are way much better helmet than this, I did never fit my head on those catlike, specialized , or X brand, I use for better fit Lazel Helmet or Giro.
Catlike + old design new colors. thumbs down!

I have been riding and racing with the Whipser Plus for 2 years now. Having owned the Ionos, and a prevail i can say that the catlike is the best for ventilation. The staps are kinda sucky, but on balance it is the one i grab for all my training rides.

Very good bit of kit.
