Seven Cycles just broadened their custom program with a pair of new titanium fat bikes. They kind of developed the bikes to serve their own need, as the long New England winter is fast approaching, and with it snow to cover the trails until the wet and muddy melt of spring. Seven’s founder Rob Vandermark says they were looking for a better solution to get around in the depths of winter “whether commuting through snow storms or riding snowy trails” and found the ever growing fat category to be a perfect solution that still can be flexible through the warmer months. To be ready for the snow covered winter trails, Seven expects to turn out about 20 Treelines by the end of the year, after which they will be available for all seasons at their standard full custom 6-8 week turn-around. Hop past the break for pricing and more details on the frames, plus new build options for all of Seven’s custom complete bikes…

The Treeline S and Treeline SL get built out of Seven’s own Integrity straight-gauge and Argen double-butted 3-2.5 ti tubing, respectively. Part of the beauty of custom, the Treelines will be built with either 170 or 197mm rear ends, for QR or thru-axle set-ups, based on the buyer’s desires. The frames all get 100mm threaded bottom brackets, and can be outfitted with or without rack mounts, for suspension or rigid forks, straight or drop bars, or most other customizations you can think of. Seven will offer typical SRAM or Shimano complete bike builds, or fully customizable setups tailored to the individual’s needs and taste.

Seven doesn’t want to pigeon hole the Treelines as fat-only, though. They see them first and foremost as mountain bikes, and figure they can have their winter 26″ fat tires swapped out to 27.5″+ for a completely different ride in the summer. Seven hopes to find them on winter bikepacking trips as much as riding summer singletrack. The Treeline S frames start at $3000, with the lightened SL for $3700. Act fast if you want to get in on the early winter fabrication.

As for the new complete bike builds, Seven has added some new components from Fizik, Mavic, and Chris King to their catalog to give your local bike shop and the end-rider more options for both component groups and wheelsets. Sevens are available with Campagnolo, Shimano, and SRAM drivetrains, with Seven’s own cockpit components and forks, or the buyer’s choice of everything. Let the customization begin.
