Most of the Urge helmets we know lean towards the gravity-fueled disciplines, or even the type of riding that tends to involve hitting your head on things on a fairly regular basis. But for the latest new Urge lid, the SeriAll, they’ve come up with a nice open looking helmet that aims to deliver something lightweight and vented like an XC helmet, while still offering a bit more coverage for when the descending gets technical. Essentially it is an affordable mountain bike helmet, designed for the type of trail riding most of us do: Pedal up; Bomb down; Repeat, as many times as possible…

The new SeriAll was developed to offer the best performance to value ratio that Urge could deliver for some all-purpose trail riding protection. Using a typical in-mold construction and a two-piece shell, the helmet manages to stay quite open while offering a bot of dropped down protection on the back of the head. It gets 4 main large front facing openings, with 19 total vents to get air in, over your head, and out the back quickly.

The helmet gets a typical Urge look with their signature soft visor that is designed to move out of the way in an impact. It uses the same one-hand Custom Ring retention system as some of their more expensive models, with up-and-down adjustability for a good secure hold on your head.

The helmet is certified to EN1078 for European use, and comes in two sizes S/M (54-57cm) and L/XL (58-60cm). It will be available in four different color combinations; black/blue, orange/yellow, black/white & white/red. With a claimed weight of 325g for the S/M, the helmet also includes a couple of different thickness pads to dial in a perfect fit all around.

The SeriAll will be available starting in October 2016 through Urge’s web shop for just 80€.

Why is there a huge dorky hole in the center of the visor? That visor and the hole look like a complete after thought.

The visor is actually the first thing Urge look at when designing their helmets. It’s a soft visor so it doesnt snap off into your face and cause damage, and the hole is their to reduce flex and increase ventilation.

Sorry, I meant to say that the hole in the visor increases flex and reduces drag.

Hole looks like it has a rubber grommet, maybe to hold your shot glass in place.

I know what would be a great idea on a “SUN VISOR”… a big ol HOLE to let the glare peak through and blind you now and then while your riding!!!

WTF….?
