It’s been almost a half a year since we last saw an update in the 100Copies series of artist Thomas Yang. But to make up for lost time, he is releasing four emoji-inspired posters. Yang sees the Bikemoji series of portraits as based on emotions common amongst cyclists like himself. Each expression is created with select bicycle components, and each poster visually depicts the character in a simple and abstract way. Step on past the break for a look at all four, their prices, and availability…

100Copies often goes with a minimalist style, and these images are a fine example. The 4 designs – GR8, OMG, LOL & WTF – are available individually, as well as in a set of all four. Both are still limited to the 100 copies.

Each print is hand stamped and individually numbered. We’re on the ball with this one, so it looks like availability is good. The individual posters are going for $75 a piece,  with the set of four for $280. Head on over to 100Copies.net to get yours.

I could see these going for 75¢ apiece – or to name one of his prints, “WTF”.

Nope. The tire prints were neat. This is just dumb (art is subjective, but if you think these are print worthy pieces, you are subjectively dumb)

I find these shallow and pedantic.

“The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity” The artist has cleverly used different parts of a bicycle to form different kinds of facial emotions. It has somehow portray a very sleek and clean design… Awesome!

These are neat, but if you have a parts bin, a decent camera, and access to *insert favorite office supply store* you could do it for quite a bit less, and it would be your own. Still, it takes talent to look at a bunch of bike parts and see these. So, while I won’t be buying one, 1000 Copies has at least given some inspiration.
