This latest 50th 100Copies cycling art print is a bit different than the rest in the series, conceived by Singapore artist Thomas Yang as a fundraiser to show solidarity Together With Ukraine. Yang says, “like bicycle links, the human spirit is connected”, so he has printed 100 copies of these chain links in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, with all proceeds donated to provide humanitarian aid for Ukrainians affected by war.
100Copies #50 – Together With Ukraine
“Bicycle links seem to disappear into the chain. They are small and unnoticeable, and endure great pressure when power is set in motion. But no matter how forcefully they are being pulled apart, they cling on, one holding up the other, moving forward together.”
Yang continues, “we believe that every act of compassion and generosity will find its way to give a little hope, and we would like to do what we can to help the Ukrainians affected by war…. This is for all the Ukrainians who have shown us that ordinary people can possess the greatness strength and resilience.”
So, all proceeds from the sale of this limited edition run will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross’ Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine response fund supporting the basic needs of those affected by the ongoing war.
