Bikepark Leogang is poised yet again, to throw the biggest freeride bash Austria has ever seen. One of the main features of the Out of Bounds festival is the legendary 26 Trix competition, which has always been at the front of the evolution of mountain biking. In 2006 26 Trix saw the first ever double back flip, as Greg Watts was the first rider to ever land one in international competition. The field of riders is sure to be as stacked as ever with some big talent already confirmed to throw down.
So far Darren Bearclaw, Tyler and Cam McCaul, Brandon Semenuk, Martin Söderström, Sam Pilgrim, Amir Kabbani, Benny Korthaus, Andi Wittmann, Niki Leitner, Pierre Edouard Ferry, Simon Kirchmann, Linus Sjöholm, Jamie Goldman, John Alm Högman, Yannick Granieri and the whole Kona Clump Team will be in attendance.
While sure to be a huge draw, 26 Trix won’t be the only riding going down at the end of June, as the Out of Bounds festival will host the finals of the iXS European Downhill Cup and the finals of the iXS 4X.
The downhill race will take place on the official UCI DH World cup course that has earned the nickname “Speedster” due to it being extremely fast and challenging with over 1,500 feet of elevation drop under a mile and a half. The 4X race will take place on the new UCI track that is barely a month old, which features doubles, triples, a wooden step up and step down, and a rock garden.
