It has not been quiet in the kitchen of Specialized.  There are many new items Specialized has put out on the table for this years Tour de France.  Among the myriad of new toys is a carbon crank that on paper and to the eye seems top notch.  It has a full carbon spider, hollow carbon crank arms, lighter aluminum chain rings, and rotates on ceramic bearings.  In the end, it is lighter and stiffer than the previous model. Claimed weight is an amazing 597 grams! ÂÂ
