Interbike 2009 – SwissStop Road and MTB Brake Pads

INTERBIKE 2009SwissStop has introduced new Flash Pro road bike brake pads, mountain bike disk brake pads for Avid Elixier/XX and Shimano Saint, and a disk brake silencer.

The Flash Pro road bike pads are the Shimano and SRAM compatible version of the Race Pro pads. Both of which are asymmetrically cut for better wet weather performance. Full Type comes with adjustable holders that fit most road brake calipers. The Original Black and Green High Performance compounds will have standard holders, and the Yellow King pads have an upgraded CNC machined holder, pictured above. The Full Type pads are sold in pairs and the MSRP’s are $30 and $34 for Flash Pro Standard, and $55 for the Flash Pro Elite.

The Flash Pro pads are also available in all three compounds as pads only and are sold in four packs. Original Black, Green High Performance and Yellow King MSRP’s $26, $30, and $50 respectively.

The new mountain bike disk pads are the Disk 26 and Disk 27. The Disk 26 fits the Avid Elixir and XX brakes. The Disk 27 fit the Shimano Saint brakes. Both new sets of pads are made of the same high performance Kevlar, ceramic, brass and resin composite material as the rest of the disk brake pad line. MSRP: $20

SwissStop Disc Brake Silencer is a high-performance metallic-based release agent with a biologically degradable carrier fluid which reduces the formation of brake dust. The SwissStop Silencer is compatible with all disc brake systems, including metallic and organic pad compounds. The smaller bottle on the right is the consumer product and MSRP: $30.
