James Straffon, artist and curator of the online NÖ Gallery, has linked up with Paul Smith to present an exhibition of bicycle-inspired art on Paul Smith’s ‘Art Wall’ at his Heathrow Terminal 5 boutique.

The space – which is unfortunately in the airport departure lounge, making it fairly difficult for non-jet-setters to see – has previously hosted an exhibition of photos by Rouleur Magazine. Straffon’s work, mainly in paint, but sometimes incorporating mixed-media elements of newsprint and printed images, takes as its subject road cycling’s iconic figures, and the brands and logos that have become indelibly associated with the glory of the sport.

The exhibition opens in July, to coincide with the 97th Tour de France, but check out his online gallery if you’re not planning of flying out of Heathrow any time soon!
