Prototype-60mm-Renthal-StemIn a stark departure from the two piece stem design that Renthal first debuted on their Duo stem, which is available in 40mm and 50mm increments, this new prototype stem features a more standard design.

The horizontally split Duo was popularized by the UK motorcycle company because it allowed both haves of the stem to be machined more than traditional designs, which produced a lighter weight stem, without compromising strength. This 60mm was recently spotted on the twitter feed of one of the Enduro World Series front runners, Jared Graves.

Prototype-60mm-Renthal-StemCurrently, Renthal does not offer a stem longer than 50mm, so this product would fill a much needed gap in their trail oriented line up, which the company recently expanded with the introduction of the 740mm wide Fatbar lite Carbon Handlbar. If pricing on their other stems is any indication, expect this to retail for around the $100 mark if it makes it into production.

They are also testing new chainrings with a hooked tooth profile similar to the new XTR

Cool, I’n shopping for bar/stems & Renthals’ top of my list.
Looks like same 2 piece machined principle done differently.
Is that an oversized bar?
Looks pretty beefy.
