To beef up their existing product range and maintain the title of the ultimate 10 speed drivetrain hackers, the mad hatters behind One UP have launched one of the most affordable narrow wide chainrings to hit the market.
Spin past the break for all the details.
Available in a 30/32/34/and 36, the chainrings will retail for $40, and will be offered in Henry Ford Black and One Up Green. Each ring will come with 2mm spacers, which will allow you to help dial in the chain line when converting 2x cranks, or use the same mounting hardware when converting to a 1x from a triple.
In addition to being affordable, the One Up Chainring also incorporates some neat technology. Unlike many rings where every over tooth is shorter, all of the teeth are full height. This helps reduce wear and prevents the chainrings from bending or breaking under a direct 45 degree impact.
The back of the chainring also has additional chamfering along the main edge, which helps clear out mud as the chain pushes alongside the drive side of the tooth. Head to One Up Components to learn more.
