If you consider yourself a Star Wars fan, then at least at one point in your life you have equated riding bikes in the forest to riding speeder bikes on Endor. Now you can blend your love of Star Wars with bicycles even more with the Limited edition Star Wars collection from Bell helmets. In an official collaboration with Lucasfilm in preparation for the release of the new Star Wars movies, Bell is introducing five new helmets, all of which have limited edition Star Wars graphics inspired by the films.

By the looks of things, the Dark Side had cooler helmets…

According to Bell’s Senior Illustrator Danny Sun, designing the Star Wars collection was a surreal experience after growing up with the movies. Creating designs that worked with the helmets and also met Lucasfilm’s approval was apparently a challenge but one that we think they nailed.

The Bell Super 2R MIPS will be available in matte Boba Fett and Stormtrooper schemes for $240 each.

Along with the Boba Fett Segment Jr. Helmet above, there will also be a Millennium Falcon version which is the closest thing to a helmet for the light side. Segment Jr. helmets are dual certified and will sell for $50.

All helmets will initially be available for the US market only.

I don’t have a particular fondness for Star Wars, but this is awesome.

And here I was hoping for a cycling certified Darth Vader replica helmet (with faceplate containing air filter for polluted urban riding). These don’t look very Star Wars-y at all, but the Darth Vader Segment is kinda cool.
