Chain guides may be a subject of debate for trail and enduro bikes, but for downhill they’ve never gone out of style. MRP knows this as well as anybody and is now introducing the successor to their G3. The aptly named G4 takes the basic design of the G3 and adds a new upper guide to finish off their range for just about every discipline…
Just as they have with the rest of their range, MRP has added a co-molded upper guide that will quiet things down when the chain starts bouncing around. Now available in everything from trail to downhill, the technology is the main addition to the G4 which will be offered in an aluminum back plate for $170 or a carbon back plate for $225. The G3 will remain in the lineup with a steel backplate as a more budget conscious model.
For 2016, MRP’s Stage forks have received a number of upgrades including new wiper seals for reduced stiction, a new rebound circuit that is said to reduce rebound noise by 26%, and a new compression system as well. The forks also are now offered with the Stage Custom Color Program which provides 10 custom color options that will match well with other parts in the industry. Available as an upgrade, Stage forks will ship with the standard MRP orange color way.
