Even though it’s not to be released until sometime in early in 2016, SRAM’s new Red eTap may be had sooner than expected. Pinarello is jumping ahead of the game to offer SRAM’s highly anticipated wireless eTap system on their new Dogma F8w well before the groupset is available.
Jump past the break for the details and pics of Pinarello’s new superbike…..
Starting in January, Pinarello will release a limited number of the Dogma F8w with SRAM’s new Red eTap groupset. This gives those that have to have it now a chance to be the first kid on the block with the first of its kind components on a bike that will get as many looks.
We saw Pinarello’s 8th generation Dogma F8 last year and though more subdued than the previous version it is actually more aero as well as stiffer where it needs to be. The Dogma’s F8w frame uses Toray T1000 1k Dream Carbon with Nanoalloy Technology. They claim the frame is 120g lighter while being 12% stiffer and a 54cm frame is said to weigh 860g. Adding to that, the new Onda F8 fork is 54% more aero and 10% lighter than the Wave 2 fork it replaces.
We had a thorough look and experience with SRAM’s Red eTap back in August, and came away addicted impressed by its performance and ease of use.
Fausto Pinarello stated:
“I’ve been trying the new SRAM RED eTap on my Dogma since a long time; I’m really impressed by the performance of this product. I am sure that it will be perfect on our bikes”.
The limited edition Dogma F8W will be produced in their exclusive color, 896 Red White F8W and in addition to SRAM’s Red eTap, the F8w will be equiped with Zipp 303 Firecrest carbon clincher wheels, Most Tiger Aero 3K stem and handlebar.
MSRP is $11,500
