Not content to stick to where the rubber meets the road, we’ve seen high-performing shoes and outerwear from Mavic over the last years, and now a full range of technical garments for all seasons. The new baselayers use fabrics from 37.5 to provide an optimal balance of wicking and insulation throughout the year. No matter what the weather, from a light mesh-like polyester for the heat of summer to a soft merino wool for the bitter cold, the cycling-specific baselayer tees aim to keep cyclists comfortable year round. Take a closer look across the fold…

The close-fitting Hot Ride Tee is for the warmest conditions, over 30ºC/86ºF, with a waffled/textured knit for maximum moisture transfer. The short sleeve-only top is available for both men and women for 45€ in a 85g/m² polyester blend. It uses a seamless main body construction, set-in sleeves, and a dropped hem with a silicone gripper to stay in place under a jersey.
Mavic’s Wind Ride baselayers add a windproof membrane to the front of the torso for early winter riding without having to resort to a jacket. The 70€ short sleeve version is available for men and women, while the 75€ long sleeve only gets a men’s cut. The baselayer maintains breathability and wicking as priorities on the sides and backs, so it can be used on high intensity riding in cool weather. Both short and long sleeve versions get the silicone gripper at the rear hem, extend the windproof layer down the tops of the sleeves, and include a close-fitting, ergonomic collar to seal out the wind.
The Cold Ride tees are available for men and women in both 55€ short sleeve and 60€ long sleeve versions. Their mid weight 100g/m² polyamid/polyester blends are designed to offer a bit more insulation while maintaining 37.5‘s signature wicking. They carry over all of the tech and fit features of the lighter baselayers with a bit heavier fabric to get you through the winter, and include big ventilation panels under the arms and around the back to move moisture away from the skin.
The Cold Ride+ tee is a soft, heavyweight merino for maximum warmth when it gets really cold, while still drying quickly. It gets the same cycling-specific cut and features as the synthetic baselayers, plus it adds a high shaped collar to keep out cold winds. The 150g/m² 100% merino wool baselayer retails for 80€ in both men’s and women’s cuts.
On an overall outerwear note, Mavic has been promoting their Head-to-toe equipment line with pairings for road and trail, for both men and women.
