Kali Protectives Tava Aero Road Action-3

What? Airing out a double on a cross bike isn’t how you’d imagine the launch of an aero road helmet? That is precisely why the video featuring Jeff Kendall-Weed and the new Kali Tava is so awesome. The helmet doesn’t guarantee you’ll have the bike handling skills as Jeff, but it should make you faster in the right conditions, as well as safer…

First seen at Press Camp, the Tava is Kali’s first take on an aero road helmet as well as the introduction of Bumperfit 2.0. While acting to reduce rotational forces like that of a MIPS liner, Bumperfit 2.0 also reduces low G impacts by up to 12%. The entire helmet is constructed to be as small and light as possible which has always been a design goal for Kali founder Brad Waldron as smaller and lighter helmets transmit less energy to the head in a crash. Claimed to be smaller, lighter, and faster than most aero helmets, the Tava could help you keep your KOMs as early as December 7th.

Always love seeing this guy ride. Didn’t care so much about the helmet, but this dude has tons of talent.

Good way to test a new helmet, looking at your phone while riding.
