Mova, a small group of young Colombian entrepreneurs, have designed a unique cycling jacket that sets out to be highly visible and reflective on the bike, but to quickly zip inside out to transition into a more subdued casual jacket that doesn’t scream cyclist. They’ve just launched the Mova Cycling Jacket on Kickstarter, and have seen overwhelming support. Their goal has already been blown past by almost 9x now, with still more than a month to go. Hop past the fold for more details on how to get one, and to see how it also turns into a shoulder bag too…
The Mova Cycling Jacket is made of a lightweight, windproof/waterproof nylon that claims to breath well. The jacket gets one high-vis side for cycling with a bunch of reflective elements and the other side a more chill color fabric. For the cycling side you can even pick a more subdued, but still bright color, and for the chill side there are another 10 color options.
The jacket just flips inside out to color switch, but can also be folded into the oversized rear pocket to that doubles as a stuff sack and a small shoulder bag. The details are there too with pit zips, a helmet-friendly hood hidden in the collar, a dropped tail, and a nice small key pocket on the arm.
A lot of the cheaper Reward options have already been snatched up on the Kickstarter, but there are plenty of options left to get one for cheaper than the $150 retail price that they will sell for once they are shipping after March 2016. Plus several of the rewards have some other nice jerseys and things bundled in.
