With over 40 years of experience in securing bikes, Kryptonite has announced their entrance into the light market where they hope to, um, secure you. Offering front and rear illumination, each light in their Street Light series is rechargeable, water resistant, compact, and tagged with a two year warranty.
Above, the Alley headlamp, like all of the new lights, uses a stretchy quick mount with quick release tab so you can remove just the light. It pumps out 275 lumens up to 145m away with five modes (High, Medium, Low, Slow flash, Fast flash). Weight is 122g, retail is $34.95, or get the set with Avenue rear for $56.95.
On the far left is the Avenue rear light, which puts out 19 lumens in one of a whopping eight modes (High, Low, Fast flash, Pulse, 2 LED Rotational flash, Fast & Pulse flash, 2 Low & 1 High flash). Standalone retail for the rear is $23.95
On the left is the dual color Street Lighting System. Each light has both white and red LEDs, each getting five modes, with the rear having more blinking than solid modes. As a front light, it pumps out 50 lumens, and 14 lumens as a rear light. Grab a pair for $49.95, or a single for $25.95.
The Avenue COB Lighting System comes in dedicated front (30 lumen) and rear (20 lumen) lights, each with three modes (High, Low, Slow flash). Both mount vertically or horizontally, and the set is $34.95 or $21.95 for just the front, $15.95 for the rear.
Not shown is the Boulevard Lighting System, a lower powered entry level set with 14 front, 3 rear lumens and three modes apiece. $29.95 for the set, or $15.95 each.
