Jeff Lenosky is on a quest. The veteran professional mountain biker and national champion observed trials rider is on quest to find and ride all the “unrideable” trails in your neck of the woods. You know the ones – that trail that your friend who knows a guy who said he once saw someone clean it? To most mortals these trails probably are unrideable, but with the right skills and practice, you too can become the Trail Boss.

Kicking off the series with Emma Long Motocross park in Austin, TX, Jeff takes on the ledgy terrain that was originally crafted into a trail by trials motocross riders in the 70’s. Don’t let how easy Jeff makes it look fool you, these trails are no where near as easy as it looks…

“Blood, sweat, tears, and broken bike parts.” That’s part of the description over on MTBProject. If that’s your idea of fun, get down to Austin and give it a go!

Nice trail review and a tough looking trail!

Heh, he makes that one look a good bit easier than it actually is. Some of those drops and ledge ups are pretty big.

It’s no lie the opening ledge can hurt … always so hard to attack cold straight from the parking lot for myself – parking long – 10′ climb *boom* ledge – can’t count the number of times I’ve pulled a reverse endo off that!

Now he needs to come back when the direction of the trail changes (it’s a one-way trail, but it’s reversed occasionally) and he can show us how to ride UP “Devils Staircase”. No mention of other features like “Triple B*tch” and “Cheescake”. I would have loved to see him make those look easy. It’s a great trail, and if you can clean it you can probably ride anything.
