Shortly after launching the Rogue 60 earlier this year at Press Camp, Ellsworth already has a new Rogue. This one won’t replace the current Rogue however, they’ll be sold side by side and will leave the choice of travel up to you. Called the Rogue 40, the name corresponds to the 140mm of travel just like how the Rogue 60 is 160mm of travel. Using the same redesigned frame as the revamped Rogue 60, the 40 uses shorter travel and revised geometry numbers to offer something in a more trail oriented package…

Relying on their new AEES (Active Energy Efficient Suspension) design for the rear travel, the suspension uses a shorter rocker link that is held together with Rocker Locker pivot pins to add additional stiffness to the design. Due to the shorter travel numbers for the 40, the bike uses a Fox Float shock rather than the Float X found on the 60. Travel for both front and rear is set at 140mm and key geometry numbers include a 67º head tube angle and 13 3/4″ BB height. Along with the threaded BSA bottom bracket, the frame includes internal cable and dropper routing, ISCG 05 mounts, and room for a water bottle inside the frame.

The frame also continues the use of their Hex Taper axle with Boost 148mm spacing as well as their internal storage port for Di2 batteries inside the downtube.
