The end of 2016 is quickly closing in, and that might make a lot of folks happy, but there are a number of things we’re sad to see come to an end. One of the biggest would have to be the racing career of Steve Peat. A true legend of the world cup DH scene, and mountain biking in general, Peaty may be calling it quits for the world cup but we expect to still see him around. The end of the line for Peaty’s career, also means the end of This is Peaty. It’s hard to believe this series alone spans five years and four seasons, but time flies when you’re having fun.

The #LastOrders episode 4 is a look back at the highlights over the years including some of the most humerus and touching as well. Keep it pinned Peaty, and thanks for the memories…

Over in the Scott camp, the news isn’t the end of a career, but the end of a long time sponsor. For the past four years, the Swiss resort of Gstaad has been the title sponsor of the Gstaad-Scott race team. While the resort has decided not to extend their contract, the team is stoked for the support and is excited for the future.

There have also been a few rides that while not ending their careers, are moving on from long time sponsors and teams. Specialized put together this clip to honor the 7 years that 2x Jr. World Champion Troy Brosnan spent with the team.

Warning: music is probably NSFW

Over at Commencal, it’s a similar story for Remy Metailler who is leaving the brand after three years.

Finally, Joe Smith is saying goodbye to Team Chain Reaction Cycles.

And we might as well finish it out with a crash collection from 50to01 TV, because #2016.
