Slickrock, contrary to its name, provides an insane level of grip. For most of us, that means simply feeling a little more confident on the Slickrock trail, or something like Captain Ahab, but if you’ve got the skills, it can allow for what should be impossible. This video of local Moab shredder (and owner of the Whole Enchilada Shuttle Company), proves just that as Kyle Mears calmly rides down one of the steepest spines we’ve ever seen.
Kyle mentions on Facebook that he woke up on the last day of the year wanting to ride this, but the inspiration goes to Kenny Smith for riding it years back and proving it was possible. We’re just happy that Kevin Bergeron was there to capture it all on camera! Great riding as usual, Mears.
