As power meter technology continues to expand and come down in price, more riders are able to take advantage of training with power. We first got wind of the limited edition Zayante + Power crankset that Praxis Works was producing last spring. Available only in the US & Canada, the pair up between Praxis & 4iiii makes for a simple clean installation and is still one of the most affordable ways to get a power meter on your road bike. Apparently the cooperation has been fruitful, as Praxis had been completely sold out for a while. But with another road season looming and time to get in those winter training base miles, the  Zayante + Power cranks are available once again…

The special deal sees Praxis factory fit one on their popular hollow forged alloy Zayante cranksets including mid-compact or traditional road rings with the left arm-only 4iiii Precision power meter for just $499. That’s only $100 more than the power meter on its own (and the same price as buying an alloy left crank arm-only from them with one already installed), so makes for an impressive deal.

The latest generation of the 4iiii Precision power meter has added a third measurement axis for improved accuracy. It is compatible with both ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart, connecting with everything from cycling computers to your smartphone, and adds just 9g to the Zayante cranks. The mid-compact 52/36 110 BCD cranks are available in 170, 172.5 & 175mm arms, while the standard road 53/39 130 BCD is 172.5mm only. The cranks use a 30mm alloy axle, so you’ll meed and M30 bottom bracket, which if you don’t already have one will set you back another $45 or so. Quantities again seem like they are limited, so act fast to step up your road training for 2017.

Why don’t they make the 48/32 with the power meter?

Pretty sure if you call and ask when ordering, Praxis can put 52/36, 50/34, 48/32, 46/36, 48/36, 42t single or 40t single on there for you.

The options are plentiful!
