DMR was up to their usual tricks at Eurobike with yet another take on their legendary flat pedals. For a while the Vault has been one of their highlight pedals with a huge concave platform and tuneable pins.
Now, the Vault Midi steps in for those looking for a slightly smaller platform. Roughly 10% smaller, DMR says it has the same width axle, but the platform itself is 10mm shorter. Measuring 95mm x 104mm, the pedal has a 17mm tall profile and the extruded 6061 pedal with aluminum tuning pins comes in at 410g for $149.
Over on the grips, DMR introduced two new options for their Deathgrip – the flangeless, and the Race Edition. The flangeless grip is just as it sounds, the super soft and grippy collaboration between DMR and Brendog, but without the flange at the inside of the grip. Then there’s the Race Edition which DMR calls their ‘super soft, Sunday best, race day special’ which means it’s crazy soft, but also won’t last a full season at the bike park. Available in thick or thin profiles and with or without the flange and in seven colors, Deathgrips sell for $20-$25 depending on the model.
