Join World Bicycle Day this Sunday with World Bicycle Relief or on your own – WBR is joining the UN and the worldwide cycling community to celebrate the first-ever World Bicycle Day this  Sunday, June 3, 2018. This designated annual day will promote bicycle use around the world and for World Bicycle Relief, helps showcase the positive impact a bicycle can create in the life of a person whose only option is walking. WBR – who provides specially-designed Buffalo Bicycles for people in developing countries where distance is a barrier to things like education, healthcare and entrepreneurial opportunities – will have their CEO speaking at the UN General Assembly event in New York City to commemorate the day. Rides and events are planned around the world, so check out the bike advocacy organization closest to you and go for a ride. Where to Ride

  • “The Good, the Rad, and the Gnarly” gravity-fueled adventure ‘race’ – Can you handle a fully-pinned day at the bike park? Colorado-based Guerrilla Gravity might have the event for you. Their first-ever The Good, The Rad, and The Gnarly “race” is part enduro, part alley-cat. Riders compete solo or as part of a 2-person team to collect all 25 badges from the good, the rad, and the gnarly trails of Angel Fire Bike Park. The first 5 riders from each category will win prizes. Then, after it’s all over, party at the Pit Viper Afterparty! Join them Aug 11 at  Angel Fire Bike Park in New Mexico. RideGG.com/GRG
  • Shred some nighttime trails with Cube & Greg Challaghan – OK, so this is less an event to go ride and a reminder that you should just head out and night ride some of your own trails for a different perspective. EWS rider Greg Challaghan of the Cube Action Team took his new Stereo 150 29er (the same new enduro bike we test rode with him in Italy back in April) out to the trails. But in stead of strapping a light atop his head, the Cube team set up a bunch of spot lights in the woods for him to ride from shadow to shadow. It’s a ludicrous premise, but makes for a cool video. Cube.eu

  • French enduro scene adds new e-MTB series to Enduro French Cup – After 3 previous e-MTB Trophy series, the French Cycling Federation have added a new E-MTB Enduro French Cup to their regular Enduro Series of races. One race is already done and the feedback & racing was top-notch. Check out the next rounds whether with a motor-assist or not at: EnduroSeries.fr

  • Test ride a Rapha saddle at a Clubhouse before you buy – Saddles are a very personal item, with a lot of individual preference. And Rapha’s new saddles don’t come cheap. We liked the first one we rode, but use their online fit calculator, or just head to your local Clubhouse, and Rapha will let you test ride the new saddles. Try before you buy is always a good option. Rapha.cc
