Every time we’ve seen a bike from Moonmen, we can’t help but stare at the gorgeous lines and attention to detail. After starting in an internship at Black Sheep bikes in Fort Collins, CO, Todd Heath went on to start Moonmen with some help from Ryan McKee and Paul Knowles. Since covering their first bike, the #M00 which was sort of a BMX inspired fat bike, Moonmen has gone on to a number of different beautiful builds. One of the latest, #M42, is a very cool rigid 29er with a Pinion gearbox, belt drive, and their Mension chainstay mounted tensioning system.
But along with the bikes, Moonmen has a few parts available with their signature aesthetic, including the Moonriser titanium handlebar. The bars are super wide at 32.75″ with a 4″ rise and 24° sweep for comfort, but there’s a new option that may grab even more attention than their looks.
Recently teased on facebook, the new FuelMoonRiser version looks to capitalize on the empty space inside the tubes with a sealed reservoir that will hold up to 16oz of liquid. That could be a bit of extra fuel for your stove, or 16oz of your favorite beverage – the hard stuff would probably work best. The option to the standard MoonRiser includes sealed plugs, a pouring straw, and of course a bar end plug to keep everything clean when you’re not using it. The price isn’t listed, but the bars themselves start out at $395 for the titanium bar, so don’t expect this one to be any less expensive.
