Endura have launched a new collection ahead of the gravity race season openers, and have brought in DH royalty by way of the Atherton Clan for a special edition release of some more burly kit. The new Spring/Summer 2019 downhill and enduro kit line-up adds to the always popular MT500 premium mountain bike family, now getting new Burner II Pants, Burner II Shorts, and a race-ready Burner long sleeve jersey.
Endura MT500 Burner II Pants & Shorts in Atherton green
The MT500 Burner II Pants and Shorts are designed to have the durability of Downhill gear but with a ‘trail friendly’ construction.
This kit borrows innovation directly from the race kit developed for the Athertons, taking advantage of the latest durable stretch fabrics to provide the desired contemporary, flap free, slim fit with the freedom of movement required for extreme DH riding.
Both the MT500 Burner Pant II and the MT500 Burner Shorts II are made from 4-way stretch fabric in combination with a durable seat panel for longevity, mesh back knees for ventilation, and high stretch crotch and rear panels for full freedom of movement. The zipped fly with ratchet waist adjuster plus Velcro waist adjusters allow for individual fine-tuning. 3D molded details on the outer knee add some extra protection, while the zipped hand pockets stow away your valuables securely.
The MT500 Burner Pant II and MT500 Burner Short II are now available in sizes S through XXL, direct from Endura for £90 (~$118) and £80 (~$105), respectively. Get them in subtle black or, new for 2019 this Atherton-approved forest green. As with all MT500 kit, the Shorts, Pants, and Jerseys come with a 90-day satisfaction guarantee from Endura.
MT500 Burner II Long Sleeve Jersey
The MT500 Burner II Long Sleeve Jersey also gets the new forest green colorway for S/S19. It is composed of a fast wicking fabric with durable panels on the shoulder and sleeve impact zones. The shoulders also feature a silicone print for backpack strap grip.
Key areas are composed of a mesh for extra ventilation, and you’ll also find a side zipper pocket for storing the uplift pass. The loose, relaxed fit is meant to be compatible with body armor. The MT500 Burner II Long Sleeve Jersey is available now, in Black, Navy, Khaki, Forest Green and Mango colorways, direct from Endura for £48 (~$63).
On it’s way: The Endura MT500 Full Face Helmet
Rachel’s not wearing the new helmet in that top shot yet, but the new kit is going to go nicely with the new Endura full face helmet with full integrated Korroyd core when it drops in the very near future. It is due to be released in May 2019, along with other new additions to Endura’s protection range, and will be certified to ASTM F1952 and CE Standard EN1078:2012 + 1 A1:2012. It looks as though you can even preorder the new lid from some vendors for £190 (~$250). We’ll keep you up to date with full, full-face details as soon as they come our way.
