MET is bringing out an updated version of their well-known and lightweight Parachute full face helmet, with an added MCR designation. That’s short for Magnetic Chinbar Release, which converts the helmet between full-face to open-face using technology from Fidlock. This two-in-one helmet hits all modern CPSC and ASTM standards, and features a customized fit with BOA retention system.

The Parachute from MET has been praised in the past for its light weight, full-face design that exceeds all DH safety requirements. They’ve toyed with removable chin bars in the past, and now the feature is back with the MCR (Magnetic Chinbar Release). This gives you two helmets in one, so you can tune it depending on where or how you plan to ride.
The release mechanism can be found on the sides of the helmet, allowing for quick and easy removal.
For a size Medium helmet, the full-face setup weighs 840 grams, while the open-face cuts it down to 455 grams.
The BOA FS1 fit system handles adjustment duties out back.
The chin strap uses magnetic technology from Fidlock for quick and easy adjustment and fastening.
The Parachute MCR has an internal MIPS rotation system, and the helmet meets all relevant CPSC, EN, and ASTM certifications.
The integrated adjustable visor is even made of a flexible material, said to aid in managing extra rotational forces transferred to your neck during a crash.
The MCR has six color options available, all including a color-matched visor.
