Rounding off the 2020 line-up of the Orbea Wild FS e-MTB are no fewer than three 100% hydroformed aluminium frame builds. We’ve known for a while that these value builds were on their way but they are now finally available, accompanying the three full carbon versions and the carbon front/alloy rear end version to complete the Wild line. For 2020, the Shimano STePS motor is replaced by the Bosch Gen4 motor across the Wild range. As is standard Orbea practice, the alloy Wild e-MTBs are fully customisable in terms of colorway & decals via the MyO app. Orbea have made available three stock builds in the form of the Wild FS H10, H15 and H25, each with its own set of spec customisation options.
Orbea Wild FS H10
The Wild FS H10 is the top end alloy build of this 29″ wheel 160/160mm travel e-MTB, with a price tag of £5,299 ($6,299). That is what you would pay for the Wild FS M20, the carbon/alloy hybrid. You’ll get the same spec in terms of motor, wheels, drivetrain, brakes and fork but you get the option of upgrading the shock to a Fox DHX2 Factory shock if you’d prefer the linearity of a coil shock over the progression of the Fox Float X2 Factory or Fox DPX2 Performance air shocks.
Wild FS H10 Full Spec
Orbea Wild FS H15
Only £400 cheaper than the Wild FS H10 is the Wild FS H15 which will set you back £4,899 (~$6421). Orbea haven’t explicitly provided a price in USD for the H15 or H25 models, so check they are selling them in the US before you get your heart set. As with all e-MTBs in the Wild range, the H15 is propelled by the Bosch Gen4 motor (and you of course, it isn’t a motorbike). For you hard earned cash you get a Fox 36 Float Performance fork, Shimano XT M8120 brakes, DT Swiss H-1900 Spline 30c wheelset, a Fox Float DPS Performance shock and a 12 speed Sunrace cassette with Shimano XT derailleur.
H15 Full Spec
Orbea Wild FS H25
The cheapest available Wild FS is the alloy H25 model, coming in at £4,299 (~$5,635). That amount will get you a RockShox 35 Gold RL Crown fork, a Fox Float DPS Performance shock, a choice of XT M8120 or MT501 brakes, and a Orbea Tryp 30c wheelset with XT derailleur and 12 speed Sunrace cassette.
