For the second year in a row, you shouldn’t have much trouble picking out EF Pro Cycling riders in the peloton – or on gravel for that matter. The team has once again teamed up with Rapha to create one of the brightest team liveries with hot pink, blue, navy blue, and white making up most of the color palette.
“Our intentions with the EF Pro Cycling kit for 2020 was an evolution of the 2019 design, injecting a new angle whilst telling the same story,” explained Angelo Trofa, product designer. “We wanted to create something which went in hand with the aim of the team: To disrupt the pro peloton. Design references were pulled from late ‘80s and early ‘90s surf and skate apparel. The genesis of that aesthetic is the mid-60s and the “summer of love,” which saw youth cultures adopt DIY clothing as a way of expression.”
“The new print is built up of an abstracted sound wave referencing the original design of the EF Education First logo, chopped up and put together again to create a striking jagged print that flows across the body. This is overlaid with a version of the oil slick print from this year’s jersey, giving a new dimension to the EF Pro Cycling kit.”
While the EF Pro Cycling team will be using the kit in high profile races like the Tour de France, you’ll also spot the pink & blue in gravel and off-road events in the team’s ‘Alternative Calendar’.
On the road, team members will sport the Pro Team Aero Jersey, Flyweight Jersey, or Training Jersey, and Pro Team Bib Shorts II, and maybe a Pro Team Baselayer.
There will also be plenty of accessories including a new Sahara Hat to keep the sun off your neck while spectating your favorite cycling event.
Most of the jerseys and bibs will be available in both men’s and women’s fits, and there will also be Kid’s Core jerseys if you want to give your little one the pro look. Everything in the collection is available now, with prices as shown above.
