Selle Repente announced the Latus M, a new carbon saddle. It features full UD carbon construction for the base and rails, hitting a superlight 140 gram weight. The Latus M also features a relief channel and a shape that they say is “wide but not too wide”.

Selle Repente isn’t the best-known saddle company, but they’re steadily expanding their product range. Today’s customers expect multiple width options, and the 142mm-wide Latus M fits in next to the 152mm-wide Latus CL. Its length clocks in at 240mm, putting the Latus M on the short end of the spectrum – and just above the UCI limit.

Both the base and rails are made of T700 UD carbon fiber. The padding is lightweight EVA foam, with a water-based microfiber/PU coating. What about color options? You can have anything you want, as long as it’s black.

The new perch will be made available to Selle Repente’s sponsored riders – Team Caja Rural – Rga, and the elite womens teams Ceratizit Wnt and Bepink.

The Latus M is available now for €218. Selle Repente reports that it’s approved for both road and off-road riding, without affecting warranty coverage.
