I spent many of my Navy years in the Hampton Roads area; after leaving the active Navy and entering the Reserves, I first worked at Seashore State Park….then I took a position with the US Fish and Wildlife Service in nearby Virginia Beach. Transferred later to Knotts Island in nearby North Carolina…and the Outer Banks. My wife, children and I have some incredible memories of this area. And we used to love bicycling nearby Colonial Parkway between Yorktown and Williamsburg. Thank you for the memories with this image…..phenomenal shot across the channel….keep on biking! And BTW…..for additional great riding? The Eastern Shore!
