You might have caught a few of these new paint schemes from the launch of the Madone SLR, but Trek has a few new options when it comes to Project One. The updates include both paint and spec options for riders who wish to customize their new Trek – on or off road.
In total, there are six new paint schemes, though not all of them will be offered on all bikes. For mountain bikes only, Trek is introducing the Splatter Fade paint scheme which will giver your modern MTB a bit of retro style.
While it looks like you can’t choose the specific colors of the individual fades, there are a number of pre-configured Splatter Fade paint schemes to choose from. That includes subdued options like the Quicksand/Olive Gray shown above, to wild fluorescent Radioactive fades that will surely bring back the retro vibes.
Mountain bikes also get new spec options including the newest SRAM Eagle drivetrains, RockShox or Fox suspension on all platforms, the new Line carbon wheels, and new saddle and tire options.
Want something a little more shiny? Amplified Alchemy is part of three new paint schemes for the premium Project One ICON series.
This one reminds us of all the oil slick finishes out there…
Sweet Gold Leaf is another option in the ICON series.
As is Holographic Diamond Flake.
The remaining two paint schemes are part of the Designer Series which is called a personal collection straight from Trek’s Waterloo-based designers.
These are pretty wild paint jobs with the Abstract getting a heavy dose of abstract art highlights and logos.
While the Palmarès is a unique collection of flags and leader’s jerseys.
On the road side, you’ll find new options for SRAM Force eTap AXS drivetrains on select bikes, as well as the new Aeolus RSL Bar/Stem on the Émonda and Madone, plus new saddle options and new Aeolus carbon wheels.
