The new Bulls Adventure EVO AM is a 27.5″ full suspension eMTB ready to go the distance. With 150mm travel front and rear and two batteries powering its Bosch Gen 4 Performance CX drive unit, this all-mountain eMTB will challenge you to ride, then ride more.
OK, the placement of the second battery underneath an arching top tube isn’t the most flattering design we’ve seen. But, are you going to care when you’ve still got more in tank after a full day of ripping singletrack climbs and eating up rough descents? We doubt it.
Bulls Adventure EVO AM 27.5+ eMTB
The Adventure EVO AM is an all-new addition to the Bulls eMTB lineup. Its 150mm of rear wheel travel is serviced by a Fox Float DPS shock. That’s paired with a 150mm travel Fox Factory 36 Float fork.
The fork sits at a head angle of 66.5° while the seat tube angle is 74°. Reach spans a 419mm-494mm range across the 41cm-54cm seat tube length size range. Four different frame sizes fit into that range, all offering the same 445mm chainstay length.
Long chainstays on a 650b bike can only mean one thing; it takes plus sized tires. The Bulls Adventure EVO AM is spec’d with 27.5+ Schwalbe tires in the form of a 2.8″ Magic Mary up front and a 2.8″ Hans Dampf on the rear.
A Bosch Gen 4 Performance CX drives this all-new Bulls eMTB, offering several different levels of pedal assist. You choose how hard you work for those descents. This Bulls full suspension eMTB is a Class 1 e-bike, meaning it delivers speed assistance up to 20 mph and a maximum torque of 75 Nm.
The two batteries give it a combined output of 1125 Wh. The 625 Wh Powertube battery is hidden away in the downtube. The extra 500 Wh come from the Powerpack fixed onto the underside of the top tube. With all that weight, this bike will be very well planted.
What about the rest of the spec? The Bulls Adventure EVO AM uses high-end Magura MT5 4-piston brakes with 203mm rotors on the front and rear. The drivetrain is a mixed bag with an XT level rear derailleur, SLX level 12-speed cassette and shifters, and an FSA crank set with 34T chain ring.
Bulls own handlebar and stem make up the cockpit. Wheels are also from Bulls; the Eccentric alloy wheelset with 30mm internal rims.
The 2021 Bulls Adventure EVO AM 27.5+ eMTB is priced at $7,399 and will be available from November.
What else is new from Bulls?
The Adventure EVO AM isn’t the only new eMTB from Bulls. The Bulls Wild Flow is new for the 2021 roster too. Pitched as a lightweight full suspension eMTB, the Wild Flow has a resistance-free Fazua motor that decouples itself when not in use. Stock is available now and pricing starts at $5,999.
Coming in February 2021 is the Bulls Aminga EVA TR. The Amniga is a 120mm travel full suspension eMTB with female specific geometry. Pedal assist will be provided by a Bosch Gen4 CX motor and 625Wh battery. Pricing will start at $4,999.
