To all the new riders thanks to the recent bike boom, welcome. Now it’s time to figure out how to store and secure those precious rides. Some folks may have room to store their bikes inside, while others need an outdoor solution. Hiplok’s newest STORE + SECURE options will cover both.
Hiplok Jaw
Want to get the bikes up and out of the way? The Hiplok Jaw mounts to most walls and provides a tensioned ‘jaw’ that will grab onto most tires up to 2.8″ in width (20-75mm). The JAW can be mounted low so it grabs onto the wheel with the bike horizontal, or higher so it holds the bike in a vertical position.
Since the tensioned clips clasp around the tire, it should be compatible with most rim shapes, including some deep profile aero rims.
Designed for indoor or outdoor uses, the JAW includes a central channel that is perfectly sized for a Hiplok Z LOK lock to slip through and around the wheel. Granted, this will not prevent someone from simply removing the front wheel and taking the rest of the bike, but it’s a start.
Like other vertical bike mounts, the JAW can be staggered to allow for handlebar clearance to hang multiple bikes side by side.
Priced at $24.99, the JAW does not include the Z LOK, those are sold separately for $11.99 or $24.99 for the Z LOK COMBO.
Hiplok ANKR MINI
Looking for something a little more secure? The new ANKR MINI is a smaller, more affordable version of the original ANKR. These little anchors secure to the wall with larger screws, and offer a “medium” security rating.
Designed to be used with their D Lock (U locks) or Z LOKs, the ANKR MINI can be used to lock up bikes, scooters, and more. The MINI features a cylindrical steel body with a toughened nylon outer shell in black, yellow, or pink. Priced at $24.99, with the lock sold separately.
