Kali Keeps Your Head Protected wherever the Road Takes You with New Uno Helmet

The new Uno helmet from the Morgan Hill, CA based company brings a lightweight, well ventilated option to the table, and it’s packed with the innovative safety features Kali is known for to make sure you’re protected whether you’re sticking to tarmac or hitting some gravel.

The Uno features 16 vents, including three “Supervents” to keep airflow up and your head cool. Each of the three forward facing “Supervents” is designed to increase the structural integrity around the vent allowing for a larger vent size and more airflow without compromising protection.

Inside, Kali employs their proprietary Quad Core Low Density Layer to combat linear and rotational impact forces, with the pads dispersed around the interior to channel airflow over the head and through the helmet. The Uno’s main structure is comprised of Contego 3 EPS foam that is optimized specifically for protective helmets and designed to take the brunt of the larger impacts, working in conjunction with the Quad Core Low Density Layer to provide a holistic approach to protecting riders.

Anti-microbial fit pads and a micro-fit closure system keep the Uno comfortably in place through all the bumps the road or trail can throw at you.

The Uno is offered in two sizes – S/M to suit 54-58cm heads and L/XL for heads sized 58-61cm. Kali threw the Uno on the scales for us with the S/M weighing in at 298g and the L/XL at 324g. Five colorway options let you match your favorite gear, and the despite all the features the Uno won’t break the bank with an MSRP of $100 USD.

Due to the supply-chain disruptions resulting from the pandemic affecting many cycling industry companies, the Uno is out of stock on Kali’s direct to consumer web store – however they promise wider availability come fall ’21, and if you can’t wait you can always head to your local Kali stocking dealer where they’ve prioritized fulfilling orders.
