Brompton’s new B75 folding bike is a great city companion for riders who want to take the guesswork out of daily commutes and save a few bucks while they’re at it.

In the past year, bicycles have seen a historic boom as people found themselves working from home, avoiding public transit and trying to find new ways to navigate the cities where they live.

Enter The Brompton B75

Brompton bills the B75 as a take-anywhere, simple machine that offers flexibility and convenience for urban riders. The bike weighs 25 pounds and folds down to a compact 22.2 x 23 x 10.6, making it small enough to toss in the trunk of a car or even take on a plane.

The Virtues Of Folding Bikes

Folding bikes offer a simple solution to many of urban commuting’s major problems. Full-size bikes are tough to fit into elevators and in office spaces. Leaving them outside all day in the weather or where thieves can easily grab them can be an anxiety-inducing exercise that no one wants to add to their day.

The Brompton B75 takes all that guesswork out of daily commutes, offering comfortable, efficient rides that break down to a size that can easily slide under a desk or be carried onto an elevator without generating angry glances and eye rolls.

Brompton already has plenty of videos of the bike being folded, and unfolded. They’re well built bikes from a factory that has incredibly good working conditions, and have allowed many people a headache free commute. I have travelled all over the U.S. with the ability to gate-check it like a baby stroller, and simply ride from the airport, or use public transit to get to my destination. This marketing exercise is to just point out an entry level model that can appeal to a pretty broad audience. I would recommend checking them out more thoroughly to get a good understanding of the product and the company. There’s not really much hype behind the product, as it doesn’t really need hype. It works well, is built well under good conditions, has a very clever fold for a multitude of reasons, rides extremely well for the wheel size, has an armada of customization options (literally millions of possibilities), has a smart line of accessories to fit most users needs. It’s an all around good company with a solid foundation of doing things the right way. Hopefully that represents more than nothing and emptiness to you. It’s not a bike fore everyone, but what bike really is?

The bike is in several scenes, my Dartmouth dude. And it’s being “used” in them too. The marketing of the bike is around its use as a means of transport in your life, much like the B Electric. That’s a large part of the appeal of this and other Bromptons–is their utility in getting you around as you go about your day and generally staying out of the way.
