With weights as low as 41 lbs, the updated Ari Nebo Peak 1.5 packs more battery power into lighter builds, plus updated electronics. It all adds up to a better version of an already very good trail eMTB. Here’s the details…

The original Nebo Peak launched just last year, but when Fazua updated their entire drive Ride 60 system, Ari took full advantage. It still has 60Nm of power, but gets a 12% more powerful 480Wh battery, up from 430Wh, in the same size package. Thus, the Nebo Peak still looks like an analog bike with its slim downtube, and Ari says you can get up to 40% more range on it than other “lightweight” e-mountain bikes.

Fazua’s Mode Control “ring” switch is also updated, claiming to be more rugged and, thanks to dual paddles, a bit more intuitive. The battery indicator on the top tube keeps the pop-up USB-C charging port, letting you top off your phone or cycling computer, or power lights, while riding.

The bikes ship with the latest Fazua firmware update, too, which includes KickOverrun for turbo boosts and extra step techy sections. Looks like Porsche’s acquisition of Fazua is paying off with better tech and designs.

The bikes get updated spec, too, with new Fox 36 forks, Crankbrothers V2 wheels, and component options from Shimano, SRAM, and TRP. Here’s the overview:

Nebo Peak Pro – $8,999

  • SRAM X0 Transmission
  • Fox Factory Suspension
  • Crankbrothers V2 Wheels
  • Weight: 42.8 lbs (Size L, Tubeless)

Nebo Peak Elite – $7,999

  • SRAM GX Transmission
  • Fox Performance Elite Suspension
  • Crankbrothers V2 Wheels
  • Weight: 43.4 lbs

Nebo Peak Comp – $6,899

  • Shimano SLX 12-speed
  • DVO Diamond D1 & Topaz Gen 3
  • DT Swiss M 1900 Wheels
  • Weight: 44.5 lbs

Worth noting that bikes ship with tubes, so you may be able to drop half a pound right out of the box switching to tubeless.

Beyond that, the bike carries over all of the features that we liked in the original:

  • Ari’s lowest standover height
  • Adjustable geometry flip-chip
  • Slack front, steep seat angle

Available now, and prior models with 430Wh battery are all on sale if you’re looking for a deal.

I suspect Fazua is about dead in the long run. A shame really
