Cinelli’s HoBootleg Geo, the Italian bikemaker’s affordable extreme adventure bikepacking rig, gets a subtle geometry update to help take you trips further than ever. Described as a nearly indestructible off-road touring bike, the HoBootleg Geo already had classic MTB-inspired geometry. But as mountain bike geometry continued to evolve, now this rigid dropbar adventure bike does, too, with a more forward & much lower position for slightly more nimble handling without compromising off-road stability.
Cinelli HoBootleg Geo affordable steel bikepacking bike
For more than a decade and most recently overhauled in 2018, the oddly named HoBootleg Geo has been wandering around teh globe as a fat tire touring bike, hell-bent on traveling the world beyond where even dirt roads taper into singletrack. But now, after spending 3 years working to refine the Geo’s Geometry, Cinelli is back with a MY26 update that makes just a few key fit & handling changes.
Plus, it gets a UDH for compatibility with every drivetrain option out there.

“We’ve fine-tuned the HoBootleg Geo over a three-year testing period with our adventure ambassadors. We wanted to build a bike which is ready to tackle your most extreme rides straight out of the box. It’s ready to match whatever you throw at it and we can’t wait to see which remote corners of the globe riders venture to.”
– Victor Luis, Cinelli Chairman
Updated geo for the Geo

First off on the geometry update front, the new HoBootleg Geo now comes in five stock sizes, adding an XS to fit more riders.
Then, Cinelli significantly lowered Stack heights across the board, cutting about a centimeter and a half off with shorter headtubes. While frame Reach is essentially unchanged for the same short stem + wide bar fits, lowering stack also shortens the front end length, too. That makes the new bikes slightly shorter overall, making them a little quicker handling. That’s helpful when you start weighing down the bike with weeks’ worth of gear. And it pairs nicely with the flip-chip dropout carbon Columbus Futura Adventure fork that already lets you tweak offset between 45 & 50mm, adjusting fork Trail for your preferred style of riding.
