Gary Fisher, the mountain bike legend, recently handed down a bike from his collection to Bradley Woehl, a bike shop owner from San Francisco, CA. Full story at SF Weekly.
The bike has an enclosed bench seat on the front so the kids get to see the world in front of then as opposed their parents backside.
Fisher had been riding he own kids around on the $3000 special Bakfiets brand Dutch-made bicycle, and gave it to Woehl with the understanding that he will later pass it along free to another family.
“Other parents come out of the store, and their eyes get big — kind of like when the mountain bike first started. I just wanted to see it be used again for the right purpose — to help kids” said Fisher.
