Back in September, Intense announced that the Miserable Champion was back on the team where it all began. With a goal of creating a new American World Cup DH team, Shaun Palmer was picked to coach the next generation of talent. Now that Palmer is in place, it’s time for Intense to find that talent. Intense is now looking for the next generation of American Downhillers and wants you to apply. Provided you are between the ages of 15-17 and compete in the Junior Expert class.

Those chosen for the team will be given custom Intense bikes, kits, and support along with the coaching of the legendary Palmer. Details on how to apply, next…

I was at those 96 Worlds in Cairns. Palmer was a machine and so above everyone else in terms of stature and don’t give a f*ck attitude that it was intimidating even for a fan asking for a photo – I was too scared to ask for one. My heart bled when he missed 1st place, guy was incredible.

There is no shortage of bad arses around. Especially one who got beaten and are bitter that someone beat them. I hope Shaun Palmer cleaned up the desert after so boldly smashing a TV. The tatts and the attitude, so DH.

@Reformed Roadie, I do what I can. In all seriousness though, Shaun Palmer was a beast. If social media and all the marketing that goes with it would have been huge then like it is now, he would have been a rock star.
