If you have to ask what BAMF stands for, well, go ask your mother. Ok, scratch that, you’d better go ask your dad instead. With a name like BAMF, it’s no surprise that the crew behind the brand seem to pride themselves on their attitude as much as their product.
Currently the offer a line of hardtails, including two 26 inch wheeled models, and two 29 inch wheeled models, all of which are aluminum. The other unique thing about BAMF bikes, is that as the old saying goes, you can have any color you want, as long as it’s black. All BAMF bikes come in black powdercoat, and leave the decal placement (if any) up to the consumer, which should go a long way in the eyes of many who feel having a company’s name 31 times on one frame, is just a little too much.
Obviously, this 29r is BAMF’s first available carbon frame, which happens to be a 1300g frame with a tapered head tube. The name wasn’t specified in the anonymous tip we received from BAMF bikes, but I have a feeling the name of the photo above may have something to do with it.
Check out some close ups of the bike, and find out where you can buy one after the break!
The BAMF Carbon 29r will hit the streets this coming may, and should be available through GiantNerd, as are all of the current BAMF bikes. Initial build spec includes the 1300 gram carbon frame, a Rock Shox Reba RL, SRAM X-9 2×10 drivetrain, Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic brakes, Truvativ carbon Noir Team bar, and Alex SX44rims wrapped with WTB tires. Currently there is no word yet on price.
