Ltd Ed Pivot Trail 429 Enduro Build
The standard Pivot Trail 429 is a super boost plus trail bike spec’d with a 130mm travel 51mm offset fork, and, in its highest ~$13,000 model, a Fox Factory Float DPS rear shock. The Enduro Build gets a suspension overhaul, now with a 140mm travel 44mm offset Fox Factory 36 fork with GRIP2 damper, and a custom tune Factory DPX2 shock.
It’s clear with the Enduro build that Pivot are trying to make a bike that is a bit more stable at speed. The 10mm increase in fork travel will slacken the head angle by around 0.5 degrees from its previous 67.3 degrees, and the decreased fork offset will increase the trail measurement to improve steering stability.
Also new for the Trail 429 Enduro Build is a Fox Factory Transfer dropper seat post with Kashima coating, hollow-forged XT cranks, and a 34mm Reynolds Enduro Carbon wheelset with Maxxis Minion shoes. The new build comes in at $7,599, is available in the standard Steel Blue and Crimson colorways as well as a new Battleship Grey.
