Photos submitted by Robert Skinner, “Rode my S-works crux from Morgan hill CA to Salt Lake City UT. 810 miles with 29k feet in climbing in 3 days. I was a little short on sleep from riding thru the night. while watching the sun come up after a passing storm; That’s when I caught this photo. Highway alt 93 in Nevada looking at the salt lakes of UT. I like to say ‘on the 7th day of creation, God gave us Crux.'” More after the break…

We always love seeing photos from where you are riding and are happy to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.

“The panorama was from the day before riding across the state of Nevada. Just past Austin, before Eureka on highway 50. Americas loneliest road. The mountain passes and valleys were absolutely incredible. Wouldn’t see any automobiles for sometimes up to an hour. One of the most amazing adventures of my life. I tell folks, if they ever get the opportunity to ride 50 thru Nevada, do it. It is absolutely breathtaking. Feel free to take your time though.”

I have wanted to ride US 50 ever since I drive it on my way to grad school, in ’79. Such awesome terrain! Very glad to hear that the traffic hasn’t gone way up. Maybe next year!!!

Thanks for the report.
