Photo submitted by Derek Buteyn, “One of our favorite South Dakota gravel routes crosses this (mostly) abandoned bridge. It’s a great place to stop for a bit and reflect on how much we love being outside and riding. Pic taken near Canton, South Dakota.”

We always love seeing photos from where you are riding and are happy to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.

Joe, you should meet up with the Sioux County Off-Road Cyclists if you are looking for good cycling in the area of this pic. We have lots of amazing gravel rides and we will soon be putting in single track at one of the area state parks– I’m not being coy about the location, it just has not been formally announced yet.

Way to make the best of what you have available in your area. I used to live in Fargo, ND and they have done quite a bit with a pretty featureless region.

Hey, that’s my area! Between Sioux County Off-Road Cyclists, Falls Area Single Track, and other local entities, this area has a lot of momentum!

There are a lot of CX opportunities here too. Just look on FB for the groups mentioned above if you are looking to connect with people on group rides. The pages don’t contain a ton of info, but they’ll give you a connect to the group. Lately we have been riding fat bikes on the frozen river beds and we’re all anxious to hit the gravel as soon as the weather eases up a bit.
