Photo submitted by Paolo Magaudda, “taken this summer during my passage in the mountains in Sicily (Italy), right in front of the Stretto di Messina, at about 3000 feet (near the ‘Santuario of Dinnammare’). In the background you can see the proper ‘stretto’, the channel that links Sicily (on the left) to the Italian continent (on the right), where the ancient homerian myth of Scylla and Charybdis born. I have also made a recording of the gravel downhill.”
