bikerumor pic of the day Da Lat, Vietnam , mountainbike riding

Photo submitted by Robert Lofgran, “These photos were taken in Da Lat, Vietnam last month. We were doing course recon with members of the local cycling community and the Vietnamese cycling federation for the Vietnam Victory Challenge stage race. In an effort to prevent large forest fires the locals burn off the undergrowth in the mountains in the area.”

We always love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

Whats your terrain like? The usual, rocky, rooty and flamey.

The terrain offers a bit of everything with some sections fairly rocky and others rooty. A lot of single track along the race course. The sections that aren’t pure single track feel like single track as there’s almost always a very worn single track path worn in from the scooters of the local coffee farmers. Most of the trails wind through sections of tall pines and mountain side coffee fields.

Da Lat is beautiful! Way up in the highlands where the air is cool, nice lake, and a nice town too! Highly recommend a visit, especially if it’s hot down at sea level.
