Um, GMR is not Highway 39. Highway 39 can be seen in the background of that photo. GMR is Glendora Mountain Road, and is not a highway.

Brian, well done. That comment would’ve sounded snarky anyways, but putting the ‘um’ in there made me read it with the inner dialogue of a sarcastic valley girl.
It is a fun ride though!

I agree beatiful ride. GMR is my weekly training ride from my house in Whittier. Another ride is hwy 39 to Crhystal Lake and back to Whittier close to 103 miles round trip.

LA: one of the best places in the US to train and one of the worst places to commute.

Ettore- we almost did the same ride. Rode from La Mirada, through Whittier / SGRT, then back home through Pomona, Diamond Bar and Brea. Total that day was 101 with about 6K of climbing.
