Photo submitted by Ilseung Cho, “Unbeknownst to many in New York City, there is a beautiful road that is literally right across the George Washington Bridge. River Road takes you 7 miles along the Hudson… a welcome respite from Gotham. I use this road often and the climbs on it as training for the 2011 Etape (check out my blog as I try to tackle Stage 19 of the Tour on July 11).”

I love riding that road in Palisades park; very few cars and many rolling hills. You end that road with a steep, long climb leading you to 9W. i just don’t like riding across the GW bridge. Sometimes, it can get very windy, and the bridge vibrates from all the cars moving.
